PACS Operational Policies and Procedures: A Survival Guide

Effective policies and procedures for running mission critical systems such as a PACS are essential for providing an “always-on” infrastructure. Creating policies and procedures doesn’t have to be a boring task. Instead, these strategies can be lightweight, flexible, and useful in providing a reliable and strategic architecture for enterprise imaging. This session will engage participants by providing practical tools and advice for creating essential policies and procedures, processes for turning the art of PACS administration into a science, and the traits and competencies for a successful career as an imaging informaticist.
