This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essentials and Standards of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through joint sponsorship of the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) and the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine.

 

The Society of Interventional Radiology is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Society of Interventional Radiology designates this educational activity for a maximum of 31.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.*

 

SIR

 
Technologists  
The American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) has approved Category A CE credit for the SIIM Annual Meeting Program and the Imaging Informatics Professional Bootcamp.**
 
Medical Physicists  
The Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs (CAMPEP) has approved Medical Physics Continuing Education Credit (MPCEC) for the SIIM Annual Meeting and the Imaging Informatics Professional Bootcamp.
 
Medical Dosimetrists  
The Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) has approved for credits the SIIM 2009 Annual Meeting and the Imaging Informatics Professional Bootcamp.
 
Certificates of Attendance  
Certificates of Attendance will be available for Imaging Informatics Professionals to track continuing education eligibility requirements for the American Board of Imaging Informatics (ABII) for both the SIIM Annual Meeting Program and the Imaging Informatics Professional Bootcamp.
 
Conflict of Interest  

Presenters at this conference will disclose any conflict of interest or their intention to discuss off-label use, if applicable, in accordance with ACCME Standards and FDA requirements. Conflict of interest will be disclosed at the meeting.

How to Obtain CME, CE, or MPCEC Credit and Certificates  

Attendees who wish to receive physician, technologist, or medical physicist credits or a certificate of attendance for ABII or MDCB must return a Verification of Attendance form (included with registration materials or downloaded from SIIM 2009 website) to the main registration desk onsite at the conclusion of the meeting, or sent to the SIIM office within two weeks following the meeting. 

 

Physician CME certificates may be obtained on the SIR CME website beginning August 3, 2009. 

 

Medical Physicist MPCEC transcripts may be obtained on the AAPM/CAMPEP website beginning August 3, 2009.

 

Technologist, Dosimetrist, and IIP continuing education credit certificates will be mailed from the SIIM office to the address the attendee submitted on their SIIM 2009 meeting registration form. Please allow up to 12 weeks for receipt of certificate.

 
Program Objectives  
Upon completion of the program, participants should be able to:
Identify important concepts of imaging informatics that can improve medical practice across the enterprise;
Describe the latest results in imaging informatics research;
Explain how important clinical problems in imaging departments are being solved; and
arrowarrow Interact with and facilitate feedback from the experts in the field of imaging informatics.
